What's a kiriban?

Remember when kiribans were widespread on old web sites? If you don't recall or came across them, they're like a little celebration for hitting a certain amount of pageviews and such. Lots of them held giveaways and such. I guess the giveaways for x followers on Twitter is a child of kiribans in a way...?

I haven't seen much on neocities regarding kiribans. Maybe they'll make a resurgence? Put one on your own site!
