Crime & Punishment - Fyodor Dostoyevsky

Here it is - my favourite book of all time. Gritty, pessimistic and a real look into the human mind. Delves into moralty, socioeconomic issues and more. Being revolved around the human condition, one of its themes is hope.

★★★★★

Loki: Where Mischief Lies - Mackenzi Lee

Such a promising book on self-acceptance and identify, but fails at the very end to send its message. Such a shame! A very good book otherwise that does a far better job characterising (young) Loki than the awful Loki tv series.

★★★★☆-

The Possession of Mr Cave - Matt Haig

Very intresting book exploring fears and anxieties of a father.

★★★★☆

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy - Douglas Adams

Solid entry into the "increasingly inaccurate trilogy".

★★★★☆

The Restaurant at the End of the Galaxy - Douglas Adams

The humour...! This is the best volume out of the five books. Like all the entries, it's philosophical and witty.

★★★★★

Life, the Universe and Everything- Douglas Adams

Damn enjoyable.

★★★★☆

So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish - Douglas Adams

They named a song in the movie after this book. It's a good song.

★★★+☆☆

Mostly Harmless - Douglas Adams

Douglass confessed he had a bad year writing this book, and that he felt pessimistic. He wanted to re-write the ending, but unfortunately died.

Progress

Dungeon Meshi / Delicious in Dungeon

What's this? A well-written story with food focus on the side? Smashed my expectations. I love the Thorden siblings. Manga currently ongoing, but near the end.

★★★★☆

Up to date

Death Note (Manga only)

Pretty much perfect. Light is a top-tier character. After book 7, slightly went down but kept up the mind games and interest throughout.

★★★★★+

Finished. Also have #13 and L's spinoff book

Levius /est

Seomewhat difficult to follow, but I read the author was adamant to write it left-to-right (which is not his native format). Gritty, but has a cute MC and good female characters.

★★★★☆

Ongoing.

+Anima

Pretty typical. There's some cool elements to it, but overall standard. You can really tell the creator preferred certain characters...

★★☆☆☆

Dropped.

Phantom Tales of the Night

Gorgeous cover art! Gets deep at times and suprised me. Cute bishies galore.

★★★+☆☆

Ongoing. On book 4.
